I’m Gonna Wake Up in the City That Never Sleeps

Right this very minute, 1:47 AM on Friday, I am on the way to New York City! Really truly!…. What a cool way to travel, accessible sleeping car overnight, so much easier and more comfortable than the airport. Getting boarded, everything from parking to security to luggage was no stress at all. No lines, plenty of space. The barriers to Danny flying with oxygen, etc are so huge, I can’t believe we’ve never done this with him before. Plus Amtrak provides a significant discount to people with disabilities and their helper, if needed. Sam gets on in Greensboro, and I am so excited to spend the weekend with him. We only have a few things planned, with lots of rest time, but it’s going to be fabulous.

  1. Wishing you all manner of blessings and enjoyment! Waving like a maniac at you both from nearby snowy Rhode Island. (“As the crow flies” we really aren’t far away from you at all.) I’m so happy for your wonderful trip and time with Sam. I hope every moment is delightful. May all the memories you make this weekend always be a blessing to you both.

  2. Oh it makes me happy to click through and see this! I hope you are having a magical day and evening! How wonderful to be able to share this time together.

And thank you!, for mentioning that about Amtrak …. Something for me to keep in mind for down the road, a trip that might just be possible, being primarily homebound, any sort of travel so very difficult. Wonderful to think of this possibility with my teens at some point, maybe …. Now the wheels are turning, i hadn’t thought of the train …. Hmmmm.

    {{hugs}} and prayers
