Just one photo

By keeponspinning

I have lots from Thanksgiving… but since I’m taking advantage of a much improved adult/child ratio to spend my day on the sofa letting my lymphedema subside, I’m just going to share one right now.  The rest will wait – along with their stories :-)   Oh, and the homily at Mass was neat.  I have to tell you about that, too.

George has had terrible stranger anxiety with my parents – however, the offer of letting him play in the bathtub was enough to get him to approach my dad….  so here’s Papa and George:

Today while I’m on the sofa, Emily’s going to bake my mom’s birthday cake, Papa is taking a van load of kids to the movies, and then tonight we’re going to spend singing… we got a pile of choral books out last night and post-it-ed (how are you supposed to make “post it” a past tense verb anyway???) our favorites… Danny has caught on to the concept of singing in parts very quickly, and so now since everybody but George can participate, we have two people per part…

Time for the sofa.  More photos later.  Thanks for the comments, the encouragement, the prayers.

I can only imagine the fun you all will have singing your post-ited songs tonight. It makes me smile just thinking about it. Have a wonderful evening with your family. What wonderful memories you all are creating. Enjoy every minute.

How I would love to listen to you all sing together. I’m so glad you’ve been able to enjoy Thanksgiving. So many of us are praying for you and your family.

I second Teri’s post from yesterday as a “cyber friend”. When you feel discouraged about what you are “not doing” that you think you “should” be doing, remind yourself to “be”. Your gift is gift of presence and example – showing your children how to live with faith in adversity. Many prayers from NJ.

So glad your parents came…you know how I love pictures of your dad interacting with your children…glad you’re resting while you have a chance, too!

Like Edda said…we’re praying and sending special thoughts your way.

    Hugs!
